Let me tell you a story. The story where I tried a budget lens from a not vary known brand, for full frame cameras, specifically this lens for the Sony Full Frame ecosystem.

I gathered the team and we decided to start the filming day on an abandoned hospital-hotel building in a mount near the city of Athens. This whole day was dedicated to create a video using only this lens and the Sony A7S III to see how it can hold up in video and if it can compare with the flagship Sony GM lens in the same focal length, 24mm.

The Viltrox 24mm 1.8 full frame lens, a lens that is under $450 never expected to be a lens that will make consider using it over the Sony 24mm 1.4 GM almost $1500 lens. I came to the conclusion that if you want a lens that can product great content, not the best, and you want to save some money into your pocket then it can considered as a great option.

By no means this is a lens that can be compared in quality with the G master, however it is a very good choice for those who are looking to get a more budget friendly lens for their gear kit and will not dissapoint.

What I was surprised the most is that the autofocus compared with the right body like the a7s III is as good as the G master.

If you want to watch the video, of a not that usual gear review, please feel free to watch it in the beginning of this article and make sure to visit the comment section area of the video to tell me your impressions, I would love to read them.
